This year marks the 20th anniversary of Caitlin Merie Hurrey’s death, but her family prefers to think of it as the “20th anniversary of her new life in heaven.” The Caitlin Merie Hurrey Fund was started by Earl Hurrey (Caitlin’s father) with a few hundred dollars in 2003. The fund remains small, but we have given over 20 scholarships since the Fund was created. With limited resources to grow the fund, we would still like to see it grow and continue to provide scholarships for students of the arts.
Caitlin’s father says, “I would like to raise $20,000.00 this year to honor and commemorate the 20th anniversary of Caitlin’s death. If you knew her, please share this with your friends. If you didn’t know her, you would have loved her like we do.”
In the interest of achieving this goal, Earl has created an account on GoFundMe, which provides an easy and accessible way for anyone to donate any amount to the Fund. Every dollar counts, and we truly appreciate your contributions.
The Caitlin Merie Hurrey Fund is please to announce that the fund has moved to its new, permanent home at “Historic Programs.” Historic Programs has been supporting young people with meaningful music and educational programs for decades. The CMHFund is very enthusiastic about the future of giving, and assisting young people to further their education.
Over the past three decades Historic Programs has produced countless events around the globe. These programs have been recognized by government officials and community organizations as the “most comprehensive and meaningful” programs for audiences a participants alike. Every Historic Program “marks the time” by commemorating the past and celebrating the future.
